As part of the Gallery’s regular Second Saturday Family Programme, we are collaborating with Giant Dolls House Project to display a community of spaces and places made from shoeboxes in the Main Gallery.

The Giant Dolls House https://giantdollshouse.org/ is a collaborative arts project led by artist and architect Catja de Haas.

Local schools have created an installation of shoeboxes representing their personal perspectives of the City of London, its buildings, homes and streets and how they relate to the environment, which is on display in the Guildhall Art Gallery 14-22 Sept.

The project aims to encourage storytelling through making and sharing a wide range of experiences from young and old, families and communities. Its aim is to initiate a dialogue on different topics and to give a voice to those who are often not listened to.

Come along and join in with making your own shoebox and add to our Giant Dolls House installation!
