National Star College

Description

Founded in 1967, National Star is a National charity that prepares young people with disabilities for adulthood and supports them to realise their aspirations. With world–class learning it provides via an Ofsted outstanding college to specialist therapies, residential services, work based training, social enterprises and work in the wider community, the charity is driven by its vision for a world in which people with disabilities are able to realise their potential as equal and active citizens in control of their lives.

Rated “Outstanding” by both Ofsted & CQC and Winner of the TES Sen Award for “Outstanding Specialist Provider” 2019

National Star creates stimulating and vibrant environments where young people and adults with disabilities are given the skills, opportunities and confidence they need to live their lives independently and to the full.

They also become fully involved in making decisions about things that affect them – and all of us. Together we campaign to help break down the barriers they face in environments, attitudes and organisations so they can participate as equal and active citizens.

We're here to help you create your brighter future. Whether you want to discover more about the world around you, actively contribute to the community or gain a job or voluntary role after college, National Star is the place for you.

With campuses in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Wales you can learn with us on a full or part–time basis as a residential or day student, depending upon where you live.
