Based on current Government advice on Coronavirus/Covid-19, we regret to inform you that the following City of London Corporation attraction will be closed to the public until further notice.

 

Guildhall Library is a public reference library specialising in the history of London, especially the City. Our collection of over 200,000 titles covers all aspects of life in the capital, from the 15th century to the presnt day, and includes special collections devoted to Samuel Pepys, John Wilkes and Thomas More.

We also provide free access to a range of online resources.

The original Library at Guildhall was founded in the 1420s under the terms of the will of Richard Whittington.
