Description

Universally known as the Old Bailey, the court has been London's principal criminal court for centuries. It hears cases from all over England and Wales as well as the Greater London area.

Access to the public galleries is free and based on a first come first served basis.

Visitors to the galleries must be aged 14 and over and are requested to dress appropriately.

The nearest tube station is St Paul's, the route from the station to the court is well signposted. The following buses operate frequently to the court from the mainline stations. Liverpool Street 11, 242, 23,26. London Bridge: 501, 521, 17. Waterloo: 4, 26, 76, 501, 521. Kings Cross: 17, 45. The nearest mainline station is City Thames Link which is two minutes walk from the court.
