CareTrade
Description
CareTrade is a London based charity. We support adults with autism to transition from school/college towards and into employment.
CareTrade believes in leading by example, thinking differently and piloting new ways of doing things, whilst seeking to build models that become self-sustaining and can be replicated. To date we have created over 350 opportunities supporting autistic Londoners, helped many young people into work and delivered over 1000 hours of autism awareness training to employers we have partnered with.
We work closely with employers to deliver training, work tasters that help young people gain the confidence, skills and experience they need to achieve their potential and be as independent as possible. We also provide in-work support via Access to Work, Consultancy and Autism Awareness training.

The Autism Project
The Autism Project is a full-time two-year employment programme for young people, aged 18-25, with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder who would like to work but need more confidence, support, skills and experience.
Our programme includes:
- Work experience placements within St Guy's or St Thomas' hospitals
- Work place mentoring
- Specialist job coaches
- Classroom learning where students can work towards City & Guild qualifications.
In addition, we support our young people to improve their independent living skills, become involved in their community and take steps to stay healthy.
Our goals is for young people to become work-ready while achieving their individual goals as defined in their Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans.
To apply, young people must have, or be in the process of being assessed for, an EHC plan.
