Autism Family Practitioner - City of London/Hackney

The Autism Family Practitioner is a specialist support worker, who can offer a non-statutory free service to families who have autistic children or young people.

Description

The Autism Family Practitioner, Robert Raby, works in a holistic way with the families of autistic children or those with social communication difficulties.  This may include working directly with the autistic child or young person and the network of professionals that support them. Robert can come and help you in your home when things are difficult. He will identify helpful strategies and approaches or introduce you to services that may provide specific support.

Robert may attend some meetings with you and other services. He can help you with discussions about support or difficulties your child or young person may be having related to the impact of their diagnosis.

The amount of time, sessions, kind of help, and intervention will be individually discussed and agreed with families and young people after the initial Team Around the Child meeting.

Free to City of London families of a child or young person who have a diagnosis of an Autistic Spectrum Condition or similar.
