Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities programme

Free support programme for parents and carers in the Square Mile

The City of London Adult Skills and Education Service and Early Help Team offer a free 13-week parenting course to help parents and carers acquire new skills and techniques to navigate the challenges of family life.

The aim is to empower parents and carers to  forge positive relationships with their children and others. Parents and carers will also be able to build new relationships, as the group will share their experiences and work together to find solutions with the support of the facilitators.

Testimonials:

“There is a lot less conflict with my child now. We have a much closer relationship.”

“I feel calmer about dealing with my son on a day-to-day basis; I don't get agitated as quickly.”

“I have really enjoyed it; I have learnt quite a lot. I’m bringing my grandchildren up now and there is a lot of difference from bringing my own up, but it just goes to show you’re never too old to learn anything new."
